Update for 2021 Schools

January 5th, 2021 UPDATE

Happy New Year! We are excited for and are praying that you have an amazing 2021! We have been praying and discussing as a team and really feel like God is wanting to draw people in to a 'New Together'. So come and join us in person or online as you are able to. We cannot wait to see you!

January 2021

Due to continuing travel and local restrictions, we will be running our January Schools online only. Come and join us for Leaders School Module 1 or Module 2. These schools will both run simultaneously from 11th to 29th January 2021.

Spring 2021

We have loved connecting with everyone in person and online this semester and will be offering both modules again for Spring 2021.

If you are planning on coming in person, here are a few specific updates for you to be aware of. The first day of school will be Monday 8th March 2021. If you are coming in from outside Canada, you are also able to quarantine with us. Here are a few pointers to help you with this process:

- Canada’s current border restrictions are in place until January 21st. We expect to hear an update on whether this is extended or how this will change in the coming weeks. Once we have a clear idea of how it will affect our international students arriving in March, we will email all our accepted students as well as posting an update on our website ere.

- We will let you know what quarantine will look like as soon as we know the government's policies for March 2021. This could be as late as a month before as this is always subject to change. Currently, the quarantine period for international travel is 14 days but this may be reduced. The only fee will be food for your time here which will be brought to your room.

- We will send you a letter to help with your immigration but it is your responsibility to check that you are eligible to travel to Canada. For more information and the latest updates on travel restrictions and exemptions, please check the Government of Canada's Immigration pages here.

- If you are booking flights, we recommend checking the returns or flexibility policy in case the situation changes by March 2021.

Our website will be updated soon with more information or please email us with your questions at som.toronto@catchthefire.com

Update for Fall 2020 Schools

July 28, 2020 UPDATE

Our Leaders School Online this summer was a huge success! Many people from all around the world connected with us, and we saw God do incredible healings and restorations in the midst of the school. It makes us excited to see how God is reaching people even during this time.

Looking toward September, we expect God to continue to do amazing acts during the school. However, due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, international students are not able to enter the country to attend the Fall 2020 school in Toronto.

The good news is that the local government in Toronto has allowed us to continue operations for Canadians. This means Canadians (and internationals already in the country) are welcome to fly to Toronto and live in our residences for a fully immersive experience.

Learn more about our fall 2020 schools here.

If you are not Canadian and would like to study with us in Toronto, we encourage you to apply to a Spring 2021 school. Alternatively, you can contact us to take the Heart Module Online this fall and receive a discount to a Spring 2021 school!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the School of Ministry at som.toronto@catchthefire.com

Update for July 2020 Leaders School

We are excited to announce that our three week Leaders School in July is going ahead! Due to the Covid-19 coronavirus, we are making various adjustments here at the School of Ministry. The good news is that the local government here in Toronto has deemed our School an essential service. For July, this means we will be offering the following options:

Leaders School online

We will be offering all our classes live online for three weeks. The cost for this package will be the standard tuition only fee ($950 for an individual - see here for further pricing tuition only pricing plans). This will give you access to:

  • Morning worship and teaching.

A time of encounter and transformation with the Father.

  • Small groups with your designated small group leader.

This will be a time of community, ministry and to process all that God is doing through the teaching.

  • FREE Coaching sessions (usually at $500)

This will be a time for additional input and learning in areas unique to you.

Leaders School onsite package (if applicable)

You can still sign up for our onsite package. However, at this point in time we do not know for sure if we will be able to go ahead with this. If you are interested and hoping to stay onsite then please do apply for this package. You will still be able to join in online if that becomes our only option available come July.

If our government is allowing certain sized meetings and travel restrictions are lifted enough for you to get here, we will be offering our usual onsite package with our full schedule. This will include all your tuition plus your food and accommodation. For more details on fees, please visit our finance page for the Leaders School.

We are being flexible and adjusting with our government's requests. The School of Ministry leadership team have been working with local public health experts and government officials to ensure the safety of both our current and future students, as well as the community in our local area.

We hope that by offering our School online we are able to provide you with at least some certainty about your decision as well as create a space for God to do the work he wants to do.

God bless and have a great day!

Catch The Fire School of Ministry’s response to Covid-19

April 8th, 2020 UPDATE

We are praying for all our students and their families, and for our graduates and those around the world who have been affected by the Covid-19 virus. We are leaning into the love of the Father during this time and are full of hope that he will work all things for our good.

Catch the Fire and the Catch The Fire School of Ministry leadership team have been working with local public health experts and government officials to ensure the safety of both our current and future students, as well as the community in our local area. To ensure the best for everyone, we have taken the following measures:

1. All students are following the government's best guidelines for social distancing in student campuses and all classes.

2. All traveling guests and speakers, to and from the School of Ministry, have been postponed until further notice. This includes no visitors entering to the student accommodations

If you are applying to attend the School of Ministry in either July or September, please know that as of now, our school schedule has not changed for our upcoming schools. As government guidelines and recommendations continue to change, we will update our website and all applicants with further details. We are looking forward to connecting with you and encountering God together. If you have any questions please contact the School office at som.toronto@catchthefire.com

Here at the School of Ministry we are taking this time to pursue God in a deeper and more intimate way and we encourage you to stay close to him during this time. We love seeing how God is moving through our School online and are grateful for the technology that allows this and humbled by God’s grace and goodness every day.

Finally, if you would like prayer at this time, we encourage you to connect online with Catch The Fire Toronto services and watch the School of Ministry Facebook page as our students will be offering online prayer during these times.

With love and God bless

SOM Team
